Brief Description
Yard personnel are responsible for helping load materials on trucks for deliveries
along with unloading shipments of materials that arrive at our location. Yard
personnel are also responsible for assisting customers with the materials they have
purchased and taking care of any returns that are brought back to the yard.
Tasks

• Assist customers with their materials and load into their vehicles
• Load materials on to the delivery vehicle with either a fork lift or manually
  load it.
• Unload materials that arrive to the yard and put them away
• Check paperwork to make sure correct materials are being loaded on the
  trucks and given to customers when they arrive to pick up materials
• Maintaining a clean yard, pick up trash, clean up debris, keep bushes a
  shrubs cleaned up
• Unload delivery trucks and put material away.
• Check receiving paperwork to make sure all material is being received in
  good condition and quantities match the paperwork.
• Help customers get sample boards and other samples they may need

Brief Description

Loaders are responsible for helping load materials on the trucks and also unload the materials once they have received the delivery location. Loaders are responsible for loading roofing materials on the roofs of delivery locations.

Tasks

• Load materials on to the delivery vehicle with either a fork lift or manually load it.
• Unload materials at the job site either on the ground or on the roof top.
• Make sure the correct materials are being delivered at each job site by reviewing the paperwork.
• Loaders are required to work in the yard if no deliveries are scheduled for that time.
• Unload delivery trucks and put material away.
• Check receiving paperwork to make sure all material is being received in good condition and quantities match the paperwork.

Company and Job Description

Bensons Building Supply has been in the building supply industry for 103 years and is still owned and operated by the founding family. We have recently expanded to Fort Myers and looking to hire a driver. A driver position at Bensons Building Supply consists of loading and unloading materials onto the truck and driving it out to the delivery location. Drivers are required to become familiar with what materials they are loading and delivering, reading the paperwork correctly at each delivery site ensures that the proper materials are delivered.

Tasks

• Inspect delivery vehicle daily to make sure it’s in good working order. If an issue is found have the mechanic check it out.
• Load materials onto delivery truck using fork life or just manually loading supplies.
• Check truck to make sure all materials match the order slips for each delivery stop scheduled.
• Before unloading review paperwork at each delivery stop to make sure the correct material are being delivered.
• At times, the driver is responsible for collecting payment on C.O.D jobs and returning it to the company.
• Filling out proper paperwork at each delivery and signing the forms that everything was delivered properly.
• Take pictures of specific delivery sites or driveways if there are issues before materials are delivered.
• Speak to customers at delivery sites on occasion and make sure their needs are met in regards to placement of materials.

Requirements

• Must have either CDL A or B with Air Brake
• Must consistently pass random drug screens
• Maintain a good driving record at work and on personal time
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be reliable and on time as jobs are scheduled according to employee work schedules
• Detail oriented to make sure paperwork matches materials being delivered

• You will have an interview possibly same day
• If you are a good candidate your drivers license will be ran through the State of Michigan to ensure insurability through our insurance company
• Once you have accepted the position and you have been entered in the FMCSA Clearinghouse you will be sent for you drug and alcohol screening
• Once that is complete drivers are sent out with current drivers for training before being released on their own

Accounting/Office Assistants provides support to the accounting department and perform a variety of tasks. Accounting Assistant will have the following responsibilities:

• Assist department with creating and editing financial documents and spreadsheets
• Organize the bookkeeping processes of the company
• Sort and distribute mail and file necessary documents
• Reconcile financial information including incoming and outgoing funds
•  
• Reconcile customer accounts and assist with proper accounts receivable postings.

Position requirements

• 24 hours per week
• Proficient in excel and spreadsheets
• General knowledge of Windows office
